Hello, I experience all sorts of emotions and so can you. I’m an experienced therapist who delivers individualized therapy and has facilitated group counseling for adults and adolescents. I have also facilitated a 5 session group for adolescents based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) called Emotions and Employability. Prior to a career in mental health, I worked my way up to a regional customer service manager in the semiconductor (high tech) industry. This prior experience allows me to blend leadership, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a variety of mental health therapeutic tools to our sessions.

And now…(if you have time)
This is a quick story about the image of the header image on my website. I took this picture at the school where I spent over 9.5 years assisting thousands of young people ages 16 to 27 years old. This was at Gary Job Corps in San Marcos, Texas. Many years ago, while attending an annual gathering of men in New Mexico, we sat in a ceremonial circle where a Shaman joined us. She started ‘seeing’ and describing each of our spirit animals. When she came to me, she hesitated and then skipped me saying, “I’ll get back to you”. I admit that I was disappointed at first, but this quickly gave way to curiosity. When she worked her way back around to me, she said I was actually not an animal at all. She said my ‘spirit’ was that of a Giant Glorious Tree. She could see the confusion on my face as I thought, “What? A tree? I want to know my Spirit Animal”. She then explained that her vision of me is people coming to sit in the comfort of my shade, to relax, rest, and feel safe, to think things through and discuss what was bothering them. After I thought about it, this rang very true for me. This clearly fits the type of service I offer to you.
So come sit or walk with me, relax, and let’s talk about what’s going on. You can share with me what you’d like and we’ll come up with strategies and a solid plan to get you started on making positive changes in your life.
Call me today at 512-775-5940 and let’s get started.
Here are comments I’ve received from former clients, but honestly, I am proud of each client I have ever worked with because they are willing to do the work to make their lives better.
“You were always there for me to talk to and you helped me out in a lot of ways. Thank you so much for being there when I need you. I’m glad that I finally made it. “Hi Mr. Q, Well I finally did it!!! I graduated, thanks for helping me through. You are an amazing person I’ve ever met. Good luck in your future and God bless you!!!”.
“Thank you, Mr. Q., for helping me through my more than tumultuous moments. It is very easy for me to say, I would not have made it to graduation if not for you.”
“Thank you for being there for me during the rough times. You and (your intern) taught me a lot and helped me a lot. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
“Thank you very much for all that you have done for me this past year…. I have been able to become a different person and see myself as so much more and actually step back and look at the big picture…”
