welcome

I am an experienced counselor/psychotherapist located in Austin, Texas I specialize in change through in-person and televideo sessions. If you are ready and open to doing or experiencing some things in your life differently, I am willing to help get you started.

Are you tired of living/dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, or anger? Perhaps you are feeling frustrated and motivated to make some changes but just don’t know how to begin or what to do. Maybe all you need is a fresh view on things. I help people specify the positive changes they want to make and together we develop ways to get them there. I am ever hopeful we can do this for you too!

I offer a variety of evidence-based therapies and am goal-oriented. You will get homework. You will not be graded. But by taking action, the opportunity to make significant life changes begins from our first meeting. You deserve to get unstuck and moving again. Take the first step and give me a call to schedule an appointment.

In-person or Virtual? Tele-therapy sessions are for people wanting to develop coping skills to better deal with anxiety, depression, stress, anger reduction, and general counseling. In certain situations, Tele-therapy can be a very good option for getting the assistance you need. What Teletherapy is not for are crisis situations, acute current self-harming behaviors, suicidal thoughts or thoughts of harming others.

If you are at risk of harming yourself or others, call 1-800-273-8255 or text HOME to 741741.

My teletherapy sessions are conducted through doxy.me. This audio/video service meets HIPAA requirements for secure and confidential sessions.

Alcohol and Substance Use Concerns?

Have you ever felt you should cut down on your drinking or drug use?
Have people annoyed you by criticizing your drinking or drug use?
Have you felt bad or guilty about your drinking or drug use?
Have you ever had a drink or used drugs first thing in the morning to steady your nerves or to get rid of a hangover (eye-opener)?

If you answered yes to any of these questions please consider a discussion concerning substance and/or alcohol use with a professional. I can assist you in determining if there is an issue and we can develop a reasonable plan to manage or reduce your concerns. My practice utilizes both Harm Reduction and Abstinence approaches to substance mis-use. The goal is to reduce or eliminate your use of substances that are causing a negative impact on your life.
